7. Felt Ghost Tree Topper

If you enjoy decorating a full Halloween tree, a felt ghost tree topper is a charming alternative to the typical bow or star. It’s whimsical, soft, and gives the tree a focal point that feels intentional.
Cut a large ghost shape from white felt, around ten to twelve inches tall. Stitch the edges together, leaving the bottom open. Stuff lightly so it holds a soft shape but still drapes a bit. Embroider simple eyes and a mouth. Attach a small loop at the top for securing to the tree.
For a more dramatic look, layer two or three ghosts in slightly different sizes, stacked together with stitching. You can also add a small bow at the neck in black or deep purple ribbon.
This topper works especially well on a slim tree with lots of negative space, where the ghost shape can be appreciated from across the room.
