6. Felt Gingerbread Man Wreath

Sweet, nostalgic, and fun to make, a gingerbread man wreath brings a bakery feel to your entryway. It is a wonderful project to do with children, since the shapes are simple and forgiving.
Materials: Brown felt sheets, white rickrack or thin white felt strips, small black felt circles for eyes and buttons, a wreath form, and hot glue.
Instructions: Cut gingerbread man shapes from brown felt. You can find free templates online or draw your own. Glue white rickrack along the arms and legs to look like icing. Add two black eyes and three buttons down the chest. Make four to six gingerbread men and arrange them around the wreath form. Secure each one with glue and a small piece of floral wire.
Time and difficulty: One and a half hours. Beginner-friendly.
Customization: Add a red bow tie, a tiny felt scarf, or write names on the gingerbread men with fabric paint. You can also make a matching gingerbread house for the center.
Budget alternative: Use brown craft foam instead of felt, though felt gives a softer look.
Display: Hang on a kitchen door or front door. This design is especially charming with a candy-cane ribbon.
