3. Felt Snowman Wreath

Frosty fans, this one is for you. A felt snowman wreath brings instant cheer to a front door, and it is a hit with kids and neighbors alike. The project uses simple shapes and a bit of stuffing to create a friendly face.
Materials: White felt sheets, black felt for the hat and eyes, orange felt for the carrot nose, a 12-inch wire wreath form, polyester fiberfill, hot glue, and a small plaid scarf (optional).
Instructions: Cut two large white circles for the snowman’s head and body. Sew or glue the edges together, leaving a small opening to add stuffing. Stuff lightly, then seal. Glue the head to the body. Attach the snowman to the wreath form with floral wire. Add a black top hat, felt eyes, and a carrot nose. Wrap a small scarf around the neck for extra charm.
Time and difficulty: About three hours. Intermediate, because of the stuffing and assembly.
Customization: Give your snowman a earmuffs, a different hat, or a button nose. You can also make a Mrs. Snowman companion for a double-door entry.
Budget tip: Use an old white t-shirt or cotton batting instead of fiberfill if you have it on hand.
Display: Hang on a front door with a sturdy over-the-door hook. Keep it out of direct rain.
