5. Yarn-Wrapped Spiderweb Wall Art

5

A spiderweb is a Halloween classic, and you can create a stunning, textured version with just yarn and a few nails or hooks. Start by deciding where you want your web—above a console table, on a blank wall, or even on a door. Lightly mark the center point and then arrange small nails or command hooks in a circular pattern around it.

Tie a piece of yarn to one nail and begin wrapping it around the others in a spiral, creating the web’s signature concentric circles. For a more organic look, vary the spacing between the lines. Once the web is complete, add a few plastic spiders (available at dollar stores) for a creepy-crawly touch. This project is surprisingly meditative and takes about an hour to complete.

Customization: Use glow-in-the-dark yarn for a web that shines after the lights go out, or add a few orange and black strings for a pop of color.
