Extracted from Besler’s 1613 masterwork Hortus Eystettensis, this copperplate engraving showcases the towering, dramatic architecture of the Crown Imperial Lily. The bell-shaped, downward-facing blossoms are rendered in rust, burnt ochre, and deep crimson against naturally yellowed paper. The bold vertical geometry makes it an ideal anchor piece for the center or bottom tier of a gallery wall.
